  5. WHAT IS NOTIFY?
  6.  
  7.     Notify is an add-on to Microsoft Mail which displays a dialog box on
  8.     the screen when new messages arrive.  Rather than displaying an
  9.     individual dialog box with each new message, a single dialog box is
  10.     displayed with a counter of how many new messages have been received.
  11.    
  12.     This version of Notify includes the option to transfer directly into mail.
  13.  
  14.     Notify is comprised of two programs.  NOTIFY.EXE is the actual program
  15.     that notifies a user of new mail.  NTFYCTRL.EXE is a program (run
  16.     under Microsoft Mail) which allows you turn the new mail notification
  17.     on or off.

  19. INSTALLING NOTIFY
  20.  
  21.     1.    Copy NOTIFY.EXE and NTFYCTRL.EXE to the MSMAIL or Windows
  22.           directory.

  24.     2.    To install the notification message, Add the following lines to
  25.           the MSMAIL.INI file (or SHARED.INI):

  27.           [Custom Commands]
  28.           T1=3.0;;;;APPEXEC.DLL;NOTIFY.EXE;0010000000000000;;;;

  30.     3.    To allow users to change the option of receiving this message,
  31.           Add the following line to the [Custom Commands] section:

  33.           T2=3.0;MAIL;More Options;10;APPEXEC.DLL;NTFYCTRL.EXE;;;;;;
